This week’s news that Netanyahu will direct the IDF to lay waste to Gaza even more than it already has, while squeezing all Gazans into the south is awful. Even worse is knowing that Israel and its people are responsible for starving them. STARVING THEM ON PURPOSE. It’s the most un-Jewish behavior I’ve ever seen. Let’s add to that the settler attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank, while Israelis stay mostly silent about their oppression. It makes me very sad and angry.
Don't all Americans, Jews and non-Jews alike, have a vote? After all, we have been paying for Israel and supplying it with weaponry since 1948, as it has been bludgeoning Palestinians and other non-Jews.

Decades ago, Netanyahu morphed into his ancestors' Nazi oppressors; and he and the "Settlers" and rabid Zionists have killed and killed and killed. Tragically, anti-Semitism has reached levels globally that have not been seen since World War II; and no Jew is safe anywhere in the world today.
As I have said before, I grew up in Los Angeles; and I have had Jewish friends since grade school; and thankfully they are alive and remain my friends to this day. Their parents were not immigrant Jews. Like my ancestors, theirs came to America in the 1800s or before. In fact, I only know one immigrant Jew: a distinguished professor who came here before World War II, and who was a hiking partner of mine.
Is the "right-wing fringe" driving Israel off cliff? My sense is that it has happened already, and there is no return. And the unholy alliance between Donald Trump -- for whom some of us voted three times -- and Netanyahu is accelerating the descent.
